OpiumOne blends the mystery of The Far East with ethical Fair Trade principles to create unique, stunning handcrafted jewellery.
This jewellery has its origin among the mesmerizing sensory abundances of India.

Flavors, scents and colors combined with time-honored traditions and sacred symbols are where OpiumOne finds inspiration, a journey of discovery that continues throughout Asia to China.

At the base of the majestic Himalayan Mountains, ancient symbols cast in gold and silver alongside precious stones such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, are being braided into exquisite, unique Macramé jewellery.

This ancient craft of Macramé, originated with the 13th-century Arabian weavers, and was in the 17th-century introduced to England and the court of Mary II, before entering The New World and East Asia.

OpiumOne's commitment to combining the age-old technique of Macramé with the principles of Fair trade manufacturing is key to the brands integrity.

The majority of employees are from the various minority groups native to the Dali region of Yunnan Province.

The company's philosophy is that there's room for everyone, which is reflected in our open door policy for the disabled or otherwise physically challenged.

With the strong thread at it's heart, coupled with inspiration from two of the foremost artisan nations of the East and the creativity of the founder, Soren Thisted Madsen the craft of Macramé is fashioned into exclusive and sustainable Jewellery that merges the allure of the mysterious East with the meticulous quality demands of Scandinavia.
